I put on some Wilbur shocks at the time. Worked fine when removed and I am sure they are just as good now. This is an oem shock that came off my 2000 k120 when it had around 28,000 miles on it. The Bmw part number is the Showa number is B0202.
Also ideal to have for a spare to throw on if you are getting yours rebuilt or whatever. The price of the new ones sure did not make it ride much better than with these oem's.
